Under the direction of the Principal, a committee has been named and asked to steer the planning and execution of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the school’s existence. The committee has taken the decision to involve as many stakeholders as possible in the activities and seek your support in ensuring a memorable year of activities.

Stakeholders are invited to make recommendations for the calendar of activities as well as volunteer their involvement in specific activities. The St. Elizabeth Technical High School 50th Anniversary Hall of Fame Awards and Banquet takes place on this Saturday October 15th 2011 at the Wyndham Kingston Hotel in Jamaica.
This glittering function, hosted by the Kingston Chapter of the Past Student’s Association, will showcase the inaugural Hall of Fame installation Ceremony during which 10 distinguished nominees will be inducted into the STETHS Hall of Fame.
The STETHS Hall of Fame is being established as part of the school’s Golden Anniversary celebrations to identify and honor those individuals who have excelled in their fields of endeavour, to enhance STETHS and its programs, maintain and promote the heritage, tradition and camaraderie amongst the STETHS Family, honor special service to the school, illicit continued identity and support to the school and serve as a vehicle for promoting STETHS as an institution worthy of continued support.
The Guest Speaker will be Professor Alvin Wint, Pro Chancellor of the University of the West Indies who is a distinguished past student of STETHS

PURPOSE
Identify and honor those individuals who have exhibited high ethical standards and integrity while achieving excellence in their field.
Enhance the institution and its programs
Maintain and promote heritage, tradition and camaraderie amongst the STETHS Family
Honor special service to the Institution
Illicit continued identity and support to the school
Serve as a vehicle for promoting STETHS as a worthy of continued support
CRITERIA
·Made significant and enduring contributions to their fields of endeavor – 25%
·Contributed to the welfare and development of STETHS – 25%
·Contributed to the welfare and development of the Society – 25%
·Inspired others by their example – 25%
CATEGORIES FOR INDUCTEES
ALUMNI - 60% of number to be inducted
STAFF / PAID EMPLOYEES - 25% of number to be inducted
STAFF
·Must have served the school for a minimum of ten (10) years
·Must have been retired for a minimum five (5) years
·Must have made notable contributions to the development of the institution
·Must have provided exemplary leadership during his/her tenure at STETHS
COMMUNITY INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS
·Open to supporters of who need not be graduates or affiliates of the school but have made outstanding contributions and/or proven service to the school or has enhanced the experience of students
·Must have made outstanding contributions and/or proven service to the school or has enhanced the experience of students
·Must have volunteered time / experience / resources for a minimum of five (5) years
